Two Scott County businesses were awarded a total of $1 million from the U.S. Small Business Administration in December 2025. Those Quad Cities loans were among 30 loans worth $20,180,200 that SBA approved for Iowa businesses last month, the SBA’s Iowa office reports.

In all, last month participating lenders in the SBA’s two largest lending programs capitalized 16 new and 14 existing Iowa businesses. The report said the loans will create 55 new jobs and retain 316 jobs as a result of that investment.

The $1,003,300 in Iowa Quad Cities loans the SBA awarded in December were:

    • King Products, Inc., Davenport – $338,300, to create and retain jobs at the commercial and industrial machinery and equipment business.
    • RDBR, LLC, Eldridge – $465,000 to support 50 jobs at this landscape business.
    • RDBR LLC, Eldridge – An additional $200,000 loan went to that landscaping services company.

The U.S. SBA bills itself as the only go-to resource and voice for small businesses backed by the strength of the federal government.

It empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners with the resources and support they need to start, grow or expand their businesses, or recover from a declared disaster.

It does that through a network of SBA field offices including in Des Moines, and public private partnerships. To learn more, visit www.sba.gov.
