QC Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees hosts Citizenship Honors Dinner

The Quad Cities Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees (QCAIR) will host its annual Citizenship Honors Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at The Center, 1411 N. Brady Street, Davenport. 

The event will feature five speakers sharing inspiring stories of immigrating to the United States. They include: Najib Habib, Yen Dao, Niyongabire Prosper, Juan Ortiz and Mauricio Diaz, as well as food from four local restaurants – Taste of Ethiopia, Mantra Indian Cuisine & Spirits, Tamales for Hope and Miss Phay Cafe, according to a news release. 

Admission is free, but advance registration is required and can be done here. Free childcare also will be available for children under age 12.

QCAIR is a nonprofit organization that supports immigrants and refugees in the QC area by providing educational, advocacy and support services, the release states.
