Putnam Museum to host Putnam Palooza

The Putnam Museum will present Putnam Palooza, a Culture Bright Series event, on Saturday, May 10. 

The free event will feature family-friendly activities and performances from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by an evening of music from 5-9 p.m.

The family-friendly portion of the day will include live music and local food trucks. Scheduled performances include: Ballet Quad Cities at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; Larry Lockwood with Native American Storytime Drumming, 11 a.m.; Quad Cities Ballet Folklorico, 2 p.m.; and a foam party, 3 p.m. Area food trucks, The Flavor Train and Kawi Coffee, also will be on-site.

The evening portion, “After Dark,” will feature live music from Liv Carrow, Subatlantic, and CHRASH beginning at 6 p.m. The La Flama food truck will be available during this time. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks also will be available for purchase.

The museum will be open during the daytime activities, but museum admission will still be charged. The family-friendly activities are free. The museum side will close at 5 p.m.
