There’s something new on the menu at the Bettendorf Pizza Ranch – action-packed arcade games.

The Pizza Ranch, located at 880 Lincoln Road, recently opened its FunZone Arcade addition to the business.

The 2,700-square-feet expansion boasts 25 arcade games, two virtual reality games and three additional party/meeting rooms. The restaurant also now has a total of six party rooms for customers.

The FunZone Arcade opened March 1, and received an official welcoming on Thursday, March 23, with a Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony. That event attracted about 30 people from the business and city government communities.

The addition represents more than a $1 million investment for the business, said Matt Middendorp, owner of the Bettendorf Pizza Ranch. “It was a big investment for the community. … It’s really fun for all ages.”

During the gathering in the new addition, business and community leaders said the FunZone is a great, new attraction for the community.

“Thank you very much for your continued investment in the community,” said Bettendorf Mayor Bob Gallagher.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, many of those guests tried their hands at some of the arcade games including Skee-ball, Nerf Arcade, Sponge Bob SquarePants-themed games and much more.

In addition to the arcade games, the new portion of the Pizza Ranch features three more meeting rooms for the Bettendorf business. Mr. Middendorp said the rooms can be used to host private parties and/or meetings for local civic groups.

Pizza Ranch is based in Orange City, Iowa, and has franchises in more than 207 locations and 14 states.
