The National Federation of Independent Business has rolled out a new, comprehensive NFIB Voting Hub. The aim is to ensure that small business owners nationwide – including in Iowa and Illinois – have the resources to participate fully in upcoming state and federal elections.

NFIB, a member-driven organization that champions small business owners in Washington, D.C., and all 50 state capitals, announced the hub’s launch in a recent news release.

“In Iowa, Main Street is the backbone of our economy,” the organization’s Iowa State Director Matt Everson said in the release. “This election tool is critical for every NFIB member to easily find pro-small business candidates who will prioritize fiscal stability and cutting unnecessary red tape, allowing our small businesses to focus on growth, not compliance.”

NFIB says on its website “Elections are a business decision.”

Visit the Voting Hub here. Highlights are:

    • Voter registration and planning: Check registration status, register to vote, request a ballot to vote by mail, and sign up for timely election reminders. It offers information specific to each state.
    • Pro-small business candidate Information: It features NFIB’s official Voter Guides and a list of its Endorsed Candidates. They are individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to supporting policies benefiting small businesses.
    • State and federal action: Members can easily discover legislative issues affecting their business and take immediate action, connecting advocacy to electoral choices.
    • NFIB Member Ballots: Only NFIB members can access and vote on their specific state’s issues via the member ballot system. These ballots shape the NFIB’s advocacy priorities at the state level.

With its “One Member, One Vote” policy, NFIB said it ensures the voices of small businesses across the entire nation are heard on the issues that matter most to them.
