MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Lions Club will host its annual Soup Supper on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Salvation Army, 1000 Oregon St., near GPC.
The Soup Supper — which will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. — is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year. In fact, donations from the event make up 20% of the club’s annual budget, according to a letter announcing the supper.
All proceeds and donations from the event are distributed back to the community.
“The spirit of giving and breaking bread with our neighbors is alive at the Salvation Army for the Soup Supper,” Lions Club President Rick Bower said in the organization’s letter.
Donations also may be mailed to the Muscatine Lions Club — P.O. Box 173, Muscatine, IA 52761 — with Soup Supper in the memo line.
