Mook receives top AARP award

Wally Mook has been awarded the 2021 AARP Iowa Andrus Award for Community Service for his work as a volunteer site supervisor with Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities. The award, AARP’s highest award for community service, honors AARP founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus. 

Mr.  Mook retired as Bettendorf’s director of public works in 2011, and previously served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 26 years.
