The Moline Regional Community Foundation (MRCF) has awarded grants totalling $500,000 to 52 nonprofit recipients serving the Illinois House District 72 area.
A committee of community volunteers evaluated more than $3.4 million in requests from nearly 90 local nonprofit organizations.
“We are extremely grateful that Representative Gregg Johnson was able to secure this much-needed funding,” Paul Plagenz, president and CEO of MRCF said of those state dollards.
“With almost every nonprofit facing critical financial challenges, we encourage everyone to also financially support any local nonprofit close to your heart.”
A grant awards celebration is planned once the funds have been received.
