Moline Foundation accepts grant applications through Sept. 22

The Moline Foundation is accepting fall grant applications for area nonprofit capital or program needs through Friday, Sept. 22.

Since 1953, the Moline Foundation has awarded more than $45 million in grants to area nonprofits, including $230,000 that it awarded last summer. This work is possible through the generosity of donors, including area individuals, families and organizations.

This year’s application process is online, and paper or email applications will not be accepted, according to the release.

“The new online application allows our nonprofit partners numerous benefits — most importantly, the efficient use of time with easy access to the grant portal,” said Director of Donor Services & Operations Claudia Meenan in the release.

Grants will be awarded to nonprofit agencies within the Moline Foundation’s six-county service area. It includes Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Henderson and McDonough counties in Illinois, and Scott County, Iowa. Grants are not available to agencies and institutions funded primarily through tax support.
