Moline Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati will deliver her 2026 State of the City Address on Monday, Feb. 2, in downtown Moline at the The Moline Club.
The event also will feature several special guest speakers offering insights into Moline’s progress and vision. The Moline Club is located at 1530 Fifth Ave.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Coffee and pastries will be available for attendees. Admission is free, but the city asks that attendees RSVP in advance at bit.ly/molinesotc.
This year’s theme is “From Generations … For Generations.” A city news release said it reflects Moline’s commitment to honoring its past while building a strong, sustainable future for residents to come.
Attendees will hear about the city’s key accomplishments over the past year and exciting plans ahead for 2026, the city said.
“‘From Generations … For Generations’ captures the spirit of Moline in 2026,” Ms. Rayapati said in the release.
“We stand on the strong foundations built by past generations of visionary leaders and hardworking families who shaped our city,” she added. “Today, we honor their legacy by continuing to evolve, embracing bold ideas, and building an even brighter future for every resident. Our history gives us strength, and we are shaping our future together, for the benefit of generations to come.”
Ms. Rayapati invites residents, business owners, community partners, and media to attend this important community gathering.
