The annual Holiday Hop event returns to downtown Moline Centre on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9.
During this free, all-ages event, merchants throughout downtown Moline will offer events, activities, and specials to celebrate the start of the season.
Free trolley rides and ADA paratransit are available during Holiday Hop, with pickup and unloading at eight locations throughout Moline Centre from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The trolley/paratransit route is available at www.holiday-hop.com.
Holiday highlights
Other highlights of the two-day 2024 event include:
- More than 40 locations of events, activities, and specials along with seasonal-themed storefront displays.
- Live holiday music including a quartet and pop-up events, sponsored by Renew Moline and Sound Conservatory.
- A chance to win two Premium Tickets for Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s show Friday, Dec. 20, at the Vibrant Arena in Moline and a $100 gift card for Tony’s Chicago Style Pizzeria from iHeart Media and Mix96.
- A “Stocking Stuffer” drawing with chances to win prizes from Moline Centre merchants.
- New event locations including Arlo & Elm, Atlas Collective, Sound Conservatory, and Your Suite Hair.
- Mobile photo booth Snap Wagon, sponsored by iHeart Media and Mix96, at Pour Bros. Craft Taproom,
- A Holiday Hop pop-up market at 1500 River Drive.
- Latin Holiday Bazaar at Mercado on Fifth (Friday, 4-8 p.m.)
Also look for appearances by the Grinch, Santa, and Mrs. Claus. Ice carving and seasonal inflatables will be at the Historic Block Courtyard, 1520 River Drive.
Toys for Tots donations can be made at collection sites at Rouse Consulting, Bent River Brewing Company, and Pub 1848.
