Moline-based ARA gets ready for Florida trade show

Local leaders and members of an international trade association will soon take part in a trade show in Florida.

The American Rental Association (ARA) Show will be Sunday-Wednesday, Feb. 12-15, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. About 20 staff members from the ARA home office in Moline are scheduled to attend.

The ARA Show is our annual tradeshow where we provide our members rental-specific education, networking events, and the unique opportunity to meet with and purchase equipment and inventory from manufacturers on the tradeshow floor. It’s a time for us to come together to promote the people, the training, and the tools that make the equipment and event rental industry so great,” said Lauren Watts, senior director of communications content for ARA.

During the show, there will be a news conference to discuss the updated economic rental forecast and research developments.

“We’re excited to share industry news with everyone who attends The ARA Show,” said Tom Doyle, ARA vice president of program development. “They can expect to hear from Scott Hazelton of S&P Global and John McClelland, vice president and chief economist at ARA, and learn updates from our latest rental consumer and rental company research.”

The agenda will include a quarterly economic update, results from the rental consumer research study, economic forecasting for the coming years, government affairs updates and an ARA education update about new training impacting the entire rental industry. A question-and-answer session will conclude the news conference.

Headquartered in Moline, the American Rental Association is an international trade association for owners of equipment and event rental businesses and the manufacturers and suppliers of construction/industrial, general tool and party/event rental equipment.

ARA members include more than 11,500 rental businesses and more than 1,000 manufacturers and suppliers located in every U.S. state and more than 44 countries worldwide. Founded in 1955, ARA is the source for information, advocacy, education, networking and marketplace opportunities for the equipment and event rental industry throughout the world.
