Lori A. Newberg of Lenexa, Kansas, retired from Modern Woodmen of America’s board of directors effective June 1. Thomas H. Harris of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, has been appointed to fill the position, effective July 1.
The Rock Island-based Modern Woodmen announced the leadership changes in a news release Friday, June 27.
Ms. Newberg had served on Modern Woodmen‘s board since June 2015, bringing 40 years of actuarial experience and in-depth knowledge of the life insurance industry.
Mr. Harris retired from The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in 2024, where he was president of its life insurance and annuities division. With a career spanning more than 40 years, he brings leadership experience in product development, distribution, marketing and service to the board and Modern Woodmen members.
