Metronet has been named the “Fastest Internet with the most Reliable Speeds in Iowa,” the fiber optic provider announced in a news release.
Citing recently released data from Ookla Speedtest Intelligence, Metronet again was ranked as the “fastest internet,” this time with “the most reliable speeds in Iowa.” That includes a median download speed of 266.36 megabits per second (Mbps), median upload speed of 229.32 Mbps and Consistency Score of 95.19 for Q4 2023, according to the release.
For its rankings, Metronet credited its state-of-the-art, multi-gigabit infrastructure that serves more than 20 communities throughout the state including Davenport, Bettendorf, LeClaire, Iowa City, Coralville, Ames and others.

Ookla ranked Metronet as both the fastest and most reliable internet service provider in Ames and Bettendorf, according to the release. Metronet also was recognized for its fastest internet speeds in Davenport, among other locations.
