The Alzheimer’s Association will host its annual Memories in the Making event from 5:30-9 p.m. Friday, May 2, at the Vibrant Arena at The Mark in Moline.
The event will feature a silent and live auction of artwork created by local individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association to support care, support and research for Alzheimer’s disease.
“The power of art therapy lies in offering individuals on the dementia journey a new way to express themselves and reconnect with their loved ones,” said Michele Green, a Memories in the Making committee member. “It’s our privilege to help amplify those voices — because through art, they show us they still have so much to share.”
