Mel Foster promotes Blackert to managing broker in Geneseo

Geneseo, Illinois – Mel Foster Co. has announced Becky Blackert has been promoted to designated managing broker of the Geneseo office, one of the company’s nine residential real estate offices.

In her new position, Ms. Blackert will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Geneseo office, leading a team of talented real estate professionals.

“We are thrilled to have Becky in the role of designated managing broker,” Lynsey Engels, Mel Foster’s president, real estate brokerage, said in a news release. “With an exceptional track record in the real estate industry, Becky has demonstrated unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership skills, making this transition a natural fit.”

Ms. Blackert is a licensed designated managing broker in Illinois. During her nine years as a Mel Foster sales associate, she has earned a place in the company’s Executive and Honor Clubs, which recognizes top sales or unit producers.  

She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, Illinois Association of REALTORS, and the Quad City Area REALTORS. The past president of the Cambridge Rotary, Ms. Blackert resides in Cambridge with her husband, Chad, and her daughter Jolene.
