Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate is offering Iowa pre-license real estate courses this fall for those looking to start or enhance their career in real estate.
The courses also are for existing Mel Foster Co. sales associates needing continuing education. The company launched the school in the fall of 2024.
These three courses are required coursework for obtaining an Iowa Real Estate License, along with the 60 hours of coursework for obtaining an Iowa Salesperson license. The local, in-person classes provide future sales associates with a timely opportunity to get started in real estate before the end of this year.
The courses will be held on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Mel Foster Co.’s Training & Education office, 3249 E. 35th St. Court, Davenport. They include:
- Listing Practices: Oct. 16-17.
- Buying Practices: Nov. 6-7.
- Developing Professionalism and Ethical Practices: Nov. 20-21.
To become a real estate sales associate in Iowa, individuals must be at least 18, undergo a background check, have a high school diploma, and pass both the Iowa and National real estate exams. New sales associates are required to sign a pre-affiliation agreement to attend the courses for free.
The deadline to register is Tuesday, Oct. 14. Spaces are limited. For questions or to register visit here or email [email protected].
