
Enjoy a night of music and help raise money for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Greater Mississippi Valley and their efforts in mental health education and support programs Saturday, Nov. 2, at the latest Life Is Beautiful concert at the Raccoon Motel, 315 E. 2nd St., Davenport. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Wearing Halloween costumes is encouraged.
Local comedian Tori House will host the event, which includes comedy from local improv group Bubble Pig. Life Is Beautiful features performances from four bands: Dynoride, Jerm Theory, Next To Midnight and Zed. Admission is a suggested $10 donation at the door. One-of-a-kind concert T-shirts designed by local artist Carolyn Krueger may be pre-ordered online through Nov. 4 at https://www.gnarcityclothing.com/products/life-is-beautiful-2024?variant=43045431345289 or purchased at the concert. T-shirts are $20, with $10 going to NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley.
NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley provides free, nationally developed mental health education and support programs to those living with a mental health condition, and their families and friends.
These services are provided to people in the greater Quad Cities region, including five counties in eastern Iowa and three counties in western Illinois. Funds raised here stay here to benefit people in need in the Quad-City community.
