Lee Enterprises CFO resigns to become pastor

    Davenport-based publisher Lee Enterprises Inc. announced the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer Tim Millage, who is leaving to answer a call from outside of corporate life. 

    Lee, the parent company of the Quad-City Times and Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus, said in a news release Friday, Nov. 21, that Mr. Millage is departing the company early next year to become an executive pastor at Coram Deo Bible Church in Davenport. 

    He has worked nearly a decade leading financial organizations in public companies. 

    “Serving Lee has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional life,” Mr. Millage said in the release. “I’m leaving to put my full time and full heart into serving the church.” 

    Lee said a search for a new CFO is beginning. Mr. Millage’s resignation is effective Feb. 28, 2026, but he has agreed to provide consulting services to Lee through May 31, 2026.

    Kevin Mowbray, Lee’s president and CEO, said in the release “We are deeply grateful to Tim for his leadership, integrity, and dedication. His financial acumen and stewardship have been instrumental in advancing the company. 

    Following his calling

    “While we will miss him as a valued team member, we fully support his decision to follow his calling and wish him every success in this new chapter,” Mr. Mowbray added.

    Of Lee’s executive team, Mr. Millage said “I have full confidence in the company’s direction and its bright future. The execution of the Three Pillar Digital Growth Strategy has already shown remarkable success and is transforming the composition of revenue, growing digital margins, and positioning the company for sustainable long-term value creation. I leave knowing the foundation is strong and the best is yet to come.”

    Lee provides local news and information with its daily newspapers and growing digital products. It also produces 350 weekly and specialty publications serving 72 markets in 25 states.
