LECLAIRE – Several special events have been planned in this community for the Mother’s Day weekend beginning with Food Truck Friday today, May 9.
Trucks will be parked from 5-8 p.m. near Green Tree Brewery, Mississippi River Distilling Co., and Aunt Hattie’s.
Here are some of the other planned events:
- The Root 67 businesses, 423-429 N. Cody Road, will have the Café Fresh – Girl + Food truck from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
- The Green Tree Brewery will have Levi Craft playing live from 4-7 p.m. Saturday.
- The Mississippi River Distilling Co. will have “Still Side Exhibition Night” as they welcome illustrator Gabriel Bautista (GABO) from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
- Olathea Creek Winery has live music from 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
Some of the other business specials will include:
- Antique Archaeology: Mother’s Day bundles for sale and flowers to hand out to all mothers May 10-11.
- Aunt Hattie’s: Sidewalk sales, dip samples and surprise discounts.
- Bamboo Baby Boutique: Will have the Shameless Chocoholic popping up.
- Bela: Free “grab & take” refreshments on Mother’s Day.
- Buttercupp Candles: Make your own candles or choose from their scents.
- Cody Road Coffee: Has just introduced new spring apparel Mom will love.
- Cody Road Trading Post: Fun gifts for moms and 15% off one regular priced item Friday-Sunday.
- Cody Rose Flower Co.: Make your own bouquet or shop from their case. Plus sweet treats all weekend.
- Crafted QC: Snag a scratch card with discounts and prizes on Saturday (and Sunday if they have any left). Sweet treats in store for moms on Saturday and Sunday. Sale items in the workshop space Friday-Sunday.

- Ember on the Hill: Moms get 25% off an item of their choice on Mother’s Day.
- Green Tree Brewery: One free mimosa per mom (21 or older) who visits Mother’s Day.
- Kitsch-n Sink Antiques: Vintage Mother’s Day gifts at 15-25% off. Free lemonade for all.
- La Ragazza Tuscan Kitchen & Bar: Has a delicious menu for Mom. Call (56e) 635-6061 for reservations.
- LeClaire Olive Oil Co.: Samples and specials all weekend. Plus, some new vinegars to try. Gift sets too.
- LeClaire Plant Co: Has some great deals.
- Mississippi Cottage Antiques: Has a month-long May sale dedicated to moms.
- Nest Modern Goods: Has live music from Lewis Knudsen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. They are hosting Rolling Spirits – yummy drinks to pair with treats on Saturday and Sunday. Their permanent jewelry bar will be open.
- Of heaven and earth: Has opal jewelry at 25% off through Saturday. Closed May 11, Mother’s Day.
- The Potter’s House: Is celebrating with a “Queen For A Day” campaign – 20% off any dinner plate and 25% off any place setting (three pieces). Open noon to 4 p.m. on Mother’s Day.
