Food trucks are setting up shop in LeClaire for Food Truck Fridays as part of an effort to offer more options to visitors.
The summerlong Food Truck Fridays events began on July 24 and will continue from 5 to 8 p.m. every Friday through Sept. 15, according to information provided by Cindy Bruhn, LeClaire tourism manager.
“Even with the rain on July 14, our first week of food trucks in downtown LeClaire was perfect. The turnout was great and very much appreciated,” said Ms. Bruhn.
The scheduled food truck lineup for Friday, July 21, includes Big Cat’s Custom Eats, Girl+Food by Cafe Fresh (they also served customers on July 14), and Chuckies. The trucks will be parked in downtown LeClaire.
During Food Truck Fridays, guests are welcome to bring their food truck meal purchases into Green Tree Brewery, Mississippi River Distilling Company, 129, and Wide River Winery Tasting Room.
All other LeClaire restaurants also are open during this time, with some even offering live music. Some shops will remain open into the evening, too.
