pink Gilda's Club October

Cancer Support Community Iowa and NW Illinois at Gilda’s Club is hosting a free educational workshop from 5:30-6:30 p.m.. Monday, July 22, at Gilda’s Club Davenport, 1351 W. Central Park Ave., Suite 200, Davenport.

When facing an unexpected complication, like a cancer diagnosis, it can feel like your life is careening out of your control. Grace McCubbin, a mom of a sudden cardiac arrest survivor, daughter of both a cancer victim and cancer survivor, public speaker and a mental health warrior, will offer insights in this workshop and practical guidance on cultivating resilience in the midst of uncertainty.

Drawing from personal experiences and emphasizing the importance of self-care, support networks, and positive mindset, her message is designed to help empower participants to face life’s changes with courage and embrace their journey with determination. By reframing setbacks as opportunities for growth and embracing a resilient mindset, one can harness the inner strength to navigate life’s tragedies and triumphs, find moments of joy and emerge stronger.

This program is being offered in-person and via Zoom. Registration is required. For more details and to register, call Gilda’s Club at (563) 326-7504, email [email protected] or visit here.
