Joan Kranovich, vice president of Business Growth and director of Sports QC, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Sports Events & Tourism Association, the leading trade association supporting sports events and tourism industry professionals.

Sports QC is a division of Visit Quad Cities, and serves as a non-profit organization that serves as the official sports commission for the Quad Cities region.

The decision was announced during the Sports ETA Symposium in Las Vegas on April 22. The news comes alongside continued momentum for Sports QC, which was named a finalist for Sports Tourism Organization of the Year in the population under 500,000 category.

“I’m truly honored to join the Sports ETA Board of Directors. This industry has given me incredible opportunities to grow, and I’m excited to step into a role where I can contribute, learn from others, and help continue building strong, vibrant communities through sports tourism,” said Ms. Kranovich.

“Joan continues to drive results for our region and has become a trusted voice and leader in the sports tourism industry. This is an incredible opportunity for her professional trajectory and further solidifies our organization’s position at the national level. I have no doubt that she will bring a tremendous amount of care, value, and leadership to this important and coveted role. Sports ETA is a vital industry leader, and we are grateful for all they do to positively impact the sports tourism industry,” said Dave Herrell, president and CEO, Visit Quad Cities
