Muscatine-based Kent Corporation has been awarded the 2021 President’s “E” Award for Exports by the U.S. Department of Commerce during a ceremony in Washington, D.C. It is the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports.

“Kent Corporation has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion. The “E” Awards Committee was very impressed with Kent Corporation’s development of customized products for international sales. The company’s use of creative logistics strategies to expand exports was also particularly notable. Kent Corporation’s achievements have undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs,” U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo wrote in her congratulatory letter.

From Field to Family, KENT is helping a growing world do more through the manufacture of high-quality food, beverage and ingredients, agriculture and pet care products.

“It is a privilege to be a part of this wonderful organization, helping people around the globe with our quality products, while supporting American manufacturing and job growth,” said Stuart Mabee, senior vice president of international sales for KENT’s International Group.

From humble roots in the livestock feed industry, since 1927, KENT has grown to become an international supplier today with 2,000 employees. It was one of 70 U.S. companies and organizations to be recognized for 2021 and 2020.

“The KENT team is committed to producing highly efficient products while also advancing our company, community, and industry through top quality exports,” said Carol Reynolds, KENT Corp. spokesperson.
