Tourism stakeholders are invited to join Visit Quad Cities at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center for the destination management organization’s Oct. 26 Destination QC!
The free event will include top Iowa and Illinois state tourism leaders, recognize outstanding Quad Citizens and it will feature “some big announcements.”
The annual meeting is hosted by the Quad Cities Visit Quad Cities Board of Directors and Visit QC staff and is designed to bring the community together to share the ripple effect of tourism. It also will include the agency’s economic impact results and present an outlook on the Quad Cities’ destination’s future. Guests are urged to RSVP here.
The night will kick off with a 3 p.m. check-in at the Bettendorf convention center and a 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. program and reception.
The evening also will feature special guests Daniel Thomas, director of the Illinois Office of Tourism, and Amy Zeigler, director of the Iowa Office of Tourism. The two Visit QC partners will be a part of the program and join in the night’s conversation about the significant role tourism plays for economic development.
Two regional leaders also will receive the organization’s annual Destination Impact Awards at the annual celebration.
