MUSCATINE, Iowa — Muscatine Community College (MCC) is excited to host its inaugural “Pink-tastic Mile,” a community event dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness. In partnership with the Muscatine Running Club, the event will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, outside Strahan Hall, 152 Colorado St.
People of all ages are invited to participate, whether by running or walking for the pink ribbon. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink to show their support. The event is free, but free-will donations are welcomed, with all proceeds benefiting Cancer Support Community Iowa and NW Illinois at Gilda’s Club.
“We’re thrilled to bring the first-ever ‘Pink-tastic Mile’ to Muscatine,” said Trevor Meyers, MCC’s student engagement and residential life coordinator. “Breast cancer affects so many lives in our community, and this event is an opportunity for us to unite, raise awareness, and contribute to a meaningful cause.”
The one-mile course will kick off at 10 a.m. from MCC’s large parking lot outside Strahan Hall.
