The John Deere Pavilion is partnering with the Rock Island-based nonprofit STEAM on Wheels to offer a series of six free, hands-on educational sessions for children and families this winter, focusing on science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
The sessions will introduce youth ages 5 to 15 to various technologies, including virtual reality, 3D printers and laser cutters, through engineering challenges and creative problem-solving. No prior experience is required.
All sessions are free, open to the public and will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon on select Saturdays at the John Deere Pavilion at 1400 River Drive in downtown Moline.
The session dates are: Jan. 17, Jan. 31, Feb. 14, Feb. 28, March 14 and March 28. Parents or caregivers must remain on-site with their children. Each session can accommodate up to 50 participants. Learn more by following this link.
John Deere is offering the programming as part of its commitment to supporting education and inspiring the next generation of innovators and builders.
