JOB OPENING: Director of Business Development

Quad Cities Regional Business Journal is seeking to hire a strategic business development professional to build and solidify business relationships with C-suite decision-makers. Responsibility also includes coaching and motivating a team of media sales consultants to optimize sales revenue.

Essential responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Serve as the first point of contact introducing the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal to key stakeholders.

• Leadership of the sales organization to service B2B markets.

• Develop and execute sales strategies for long-term revenue growth and strategic partnerships.

• Good face to face presenter and a network of local contacts.

• Collaborate with other Corridor Media Group team members, prioritizing their involvement, needs and inclusion into the overall advertising strategies for client presentations.

Qualification requirements: 

• Management or senior supervisory experience in media sales or experience in other industries with transferable skills.

• Proven ability to sell.

• Excellent communicator.

• Must be able to conduct and manage meetings, as well as speak to large groups as needed.

• Must have an outgoing, sales minded personality with the ability to close.

• Accounting and technology skills
