Jet Air, Inc. of Galesburg, Illinois, has acquired three Revv Aviation facilities in the Quad Cities region.

The aviation company recently announced the acquisition of Revv Aviation’s operations in Davenport, Moline and Muscatine, effective Sunday, March 1.

Jet Air has rebranded the former Revv fixed-based operators at Davenport Municipal and Muscatine Municipal airports in Iowa, as well as the maintenance station at Quad Cities International Airport in Moline.

The three former Revv facilities have all been renamed Jet Air under the ownership change and rebranding.

Jet Air officials said they were attracted to Revv because of the “people and communities.”

“We have worked with the management team for Revv Aviation, previously Carver Aero, for decades. When one of us needed help covering a charter or air medical flight we coordinated to ensure local client needs were covered. We have had a good relationship with the Revv ownership team as well, so when we learned they were looking to make a change we expressed our interest. Having great people with a passion for aviation is so important for our success. We are pleased that every Revv staff member at these locations accepted a position with us and is now part of Jet Air’s team,” Matt Wolford, executive vice president and partner at Jet Air told the QCBJ on Tuesday, March 17.

The company also purchased the aircraft management contracts at those locations. Jet Air now owns, operates, or manages 20 turbine aircraft, primarily Cessna Citations and Beechcraft King Airs, in addition to a fleet of training aircraft.

The acquisition brings Jet Air to six FBOs in the region, including its existing locations at Iowa City Municipal and Southwest Iowa Regional airports; and at Galesburg Regional and Macomb Municipal airports in Illinois; along with five maintenance facilities situated within approximately 100 square miles.

“I am not aware of anyone else in the industry who has so many locations in such a concentrated area. This concentration offers strategic advantages for sharing resources, getting involved in our communities, and building relationships with staff and clients. Airports are a community’s front door and a driver for economic growth; therefore, the success of one contributes to the success of the other,” added Mr. Wolford.

“Our concentrated presence allows us to collaborate across facilities, share expertise, and offer capabilities that are not typically available in rural markets,” said Jet Air President Phillip Wolford in a news release.

Jet Air is a full-service aviation company with a global reach from its Midwestern bases. The company provides FAA 135 charter and air medical flights, fixed-base operations services, FAA 145 repair stations, aircraft management, aircraft sales and flight training. The company was founded in 1969.

“Jet Air would like to thank the Revv Aviation team for the opportunity to complete this acquisition and for their collaboration throughout the process. This transaction would not have been possible without the support of the incredible current and new staff, airports, and communities involved,” according to a statement from Jet Air.

We were founded in 1969, but rebranded in 1989 with the name “Jet Air” which came from the original founder’s wife’s initials “Judith Ellen Timmons” long before we had our first jet,” said Matt Wolford.
