Iowa American Water announced that its 2024 Water Quality Reports are now available online, assuring customers that their drinking water continues to meet or exceed all state and federal quality standards.
The reports, accessible on the company’s website here, detail the results of extensive water quality testing conducted between January and December 2024.Â
Brad Nielsen, president of Iowa American Water, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing safe, clean, reliable, and affordable water. “Our mission at Iowa American Water is to serve our customers with high-quality water,” he said in a news release. “These annual reports not only inform customers about their water’s quality but also provide important details about its source and the significance of protecting these vital resources.”
Known as “consumer confidence reports,” the documents compare detected compounds in treated drinking water against compliance standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and local/state departments. To further enhance transparency, the reports also include testing results for certain unregulated compounds where they are present.
Mr. Nielsen added, “The dedication of our team ensures the delivery of high-quality water every day. These water quality reports are another way we uphold our commitment to our customers.”
Customers can easily find their specific report by visiting the Water Quality tab on Iowa American Water’s website and searching by zip code. For those who prefer a physical copy, printed reports are available by calling the company’s customer service center at (866) 641-2108.
