Join the Illowa Council of Boy Scouts of America along with Central Craft in Moline for a first-ever Bourbon Tasting to support scouting in the Quad Cities region.Â
The event will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Central Craft, located at 1810 5th Ave, Suite F. Central Craft is procuring 25 different limited edition and select barrel bourbons for guests to taste. Each attendee will be able to select different varieties to taste.Â
The event is highly exclusive and will be limited to four sessions with 24 attendees per session. Available times are: 2-3 p.m.; 3:30-4:30 p.m.; 5-6 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are selling fast; don’t miss your opportunity to experience these fine spirits.Â
Illowa Council also is seeking sponsorships including an exclusive Title Sponsor (one available for $3,500), who will receive their organization’s name on the napkins and the tasting menu, be recognized on illowabsa.org and its OneCause site. Each of the four sessions also will have exclusive sponsors ($2,500). Â
All proceeds from the tasting event will be applied to two great scouting programs. Camperships will provide assistance to scouts who have a financial barrier to attending our summer camp programs at Camp Loud Thunder. The other program is Scoutreach, in which, Illowa Council funds membership dues for underprivileged youth who otherwise would not be able to attend a regular scout meeting due to hardships.Â
