Employees of local Illinois-based small manufacturers can take safety training from Black Hawk College (BHC) at a reduced rate, thanks to a state workforce training grant.

The Business Training Center at Black Hawk College recently received the grant funds to offset the cost of safety training for local Illinois-based small manufacturers. The grant will pay for up to 50% of safety training.

The first offering is an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry class at a special rate of $430 per person.

    The class is Tuesday, July 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday, July 24 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the college’s Quad-Cities Campus, 6600 34th Ave., Moline.

This rate is exclusively for local Illinois-based small manufacturers. For more information or to register, contact Madison Weiss at 309-796-5716 or [email protected].
