Holmes Murphy, with an office in Davenport, once again has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance.
This marks the 13th year in a row that Holmes Murphy has been honored with this distinction. The annual Best Places to Work in Insurance program recognizes employers for their outstanding performance in establishing workplaces where employees can thrive, enjoy their work and help their companies grow.
Holmes Murphy earned the No. 1 spot in the large employer category (1,000+ U.S. employees.) Headquartered in Waukee, Iowa, the company employs 1,164 people and has 16 U.S. offices including Davenport and Cedar Rapids in Iowa.

The annual feature, presented by Business Insurance and Best Companies Group, is based on a two-part assessment of each company. The first part is a questionnaire completed by the employer about company policies, practices and demographics. The second part is a confidential employee survey on engagement and satisfaction.
The 2024 report features 100 companies of various sizes, from 25 employees to more than 10,000. The honorees all share a similar commitment to attracting, developing and retaining great talent through a combination of culture, benefits and other programs that their employees value.
