MUSCATINE, Iowa — HNI Corporation has announced the election of David Roberts to the corporation’s board of directors.
Mr. Roberts is president and CEO, since 2018, of Verra Mobility Corporation (VRRM), a global leader in smart mobility technologies. He joined Verra Mobility in 2014 as its chief operating officer.
Over his 30-year career, Mr. Roberts has gained expertise in technology, innovation, finance, entrepreneurship, strategy, and general management. He will join the board’s public policy and corporate governance committee.
“We are delighted to welcome David to our board of directors,” HNI Chairman, President and CEO Jeff Lorenger said in a news release. “He has deep technology and innovation experience and also brings impressive strategic business management skills that will add tremendous value to HNI as we continue to pursue our strategies focused on long-term profitable growth.”
Mr. Roberts said in the release that he is excited and honored to join the board. “HNI’s recent momentum is impressive, and I look forward to engaging with the other board members and the corporation’s leadership as we continue this growth journey,” he added.
With his recent election, the HNI Board of Directors now has 11 directors – 10 independent outside directors and CEO Lorenger.
