UnityPoint Health – Trinity’s next “Heart to Heart” community education series event is set for 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Jardine Auditorium at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, 2701 17th St., Rock Island.

“Stress Is Inevitable, Getting Sick from It Is Not” will be presented by Dr. Teresa Pangan, prevention and wellness strategist, UnityPoint Health.

The event is presented free of charge thanks to the generosity of Trinity Health Foundation donors. To attend the event, register here.

“Severe and consistent stress can have a major impact on your heart health,” Dr. Pangan said in a news release. “Reducing stress can help lower the risk of developing high blood pressure, which can lead to heart attack or stroke. Join me to find out how to better manage stress so it doesn’t cost you your health.”

“Heart to Heart” is a free community educational series for those interested in learning more about heart disease and prevention. Attendees learn how to take control of their heart health through simple lifestyle changes.

“The Trinity Heart Center team is committed to making the Quad Cities a healthier place and this session will empower attendees to live a healthier life,” said Dr. Kathy Pulley, director of Cardiology Services at UnityPoint Health – Trinity.
