
Native plant lovers and anyone who wants to learn more about them can spend an evening outdoors at the Hauberg Estate, 1300 24th St., Rock Island, from 5-9:30 p.m. Friday, April 11.
Sponsored by the Western Illinois University Counselor Education Department, Wild Ones Quad Cities, and the Friends of Hauberg, the free event will feature a keynote by prairie ecologist and author Pauline Drobney, a panel discussion on local sustainability efforts, and tours of the estate grounds.
Discover the world of eco-art, relax with therapy dogs and enter to win door prizes while you enjoy pizza and desserts. A cash bar will be available in the historic mansion and carriage house.
