Grow Quad Cities has received grants from the Bechtel Trusts of $100,000 per year to be distributed over a three-year time frame to that local chamber economic development affiliate organization.

In addition, the chamber along with the Alternating Currents Festival each received $50,000 grants from the Regional Development Authority (RDA) this year. That annual bi-state festival is already scheduled for Aug. 13-16, 2026.

“We sincerely appreciate these generous grants, which will significantly advance Grow Quad Cities’ work in regional economic development,” QC Chamber Chief Financial Officer Brietta Collier said.

“These partners join an impressive group of business leaders and municipalities committed to funding our efforts to market the Quad Cities as a premier destination for business investment and growth,” she added in an email to the QCBJ.

A separate nonprofit entity from the chamber, Grow Quad Cities, is made up of public and private sector investors and is led by a board of directors.

Grow QC’s work is centered on business, workforce and quality of place development. That includes providing site selectors and interested companies with data and information, meeting with existing regional businesses and providing the needed know-how to speed up growth or expansion opportunities.
