Aquent, a global virtual-first workforce solutions company that includes 300 employees in the Quad Cities, has acquired Workgroups DaVinci to accelerate the growth of its project management platform.
The Iowa-City-based Workgroups DaVinci is a workflow and project management solutions firm for marketing, creative, and production teams. It joins Aquent’s RoboHead, a leading project management solution for in-house marketing and creative professionals under Aquent’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) division.
Aquent, headquartered in Boston, said in a news release that it welcomes the new project management team to innovate workflow solutions for creative client needs.
“With more than 30 years of experience working with marketing and creative professionals, we drive innovation within the project management solutions space and know exactly what in-house creative teams need, without the guesswork,” said John H. Chuang, CEO of Aquent. “Aquent’s acquisition of Workgroups DaVinci is another step toward establishing industry leadership and empowering our customers with personalized cloud-based technology to efficiently execute their creative visions.”
Workgroups DaVinci’s experience in marketing, production, agency, and creative solutions complements Aquent’s premier SaaS applications and bolsters RoboHead’s efforts to continually innovate updates and enhancements with client customization in mind, the release said.
“Aquent is now a virtual-first company which has enabled them to offset their carbon emissions by 8,640 tons since 2019,” said Grace Thompson, account coordinator for Aquent. “They’ve transitioned their entire workforce to permanent remote work, including approximately 300 employees who worked at their former office in East Moline. These employees are now working remotely in the Quad Cities region. Aquent also plans to retain Workgroups DaVinci employees responsible for technical and customer support.”
RoboHead is an industry-leading work management tool that allows creative teams to do their best work with intuitive project request and review tools, workload insights, and KPI visibility in a cloud-based application, according to the release. RoboHead is also the creator of RoboHead 10000, which measures the real-time productivity of marketing departments across industries, geographies, and company sizes.
The index utilizes and tracks activity within marketing and creative teams using operational metrics such as project starts, tasks assigned, and reviews completed to reveal broader insights about national economic health. As Workgroups DaVinci clients decide to migrate to RoboHead, their activity will be added to RoboHead 10000 in real-time, increasing the breadth and accuracy of the index.
“The Workgroups DaVinci team will be a welcome and robust addition to our team of creative and project management software experts. Their invaluable experience will support our mission of maximizing productivity and quantifying the value of our clients’ creative deliverable process,” said Daniel Perez, president of RoboHead.
