The public is invited to an open house to celebrate the opening of the new Emergency Department at Genesis Bettendorf HealthPlex.
The open house will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 3, at the new ER, located at 2140 53rd Ave., Bettendorf.
The event will include family-friendly activities to introduce kids to the emergency room in a stress-free way. Other festivities including holiday cookie decorating, face painting, crafts, games, hot cocoa and free family photos with Santa will make it a fun morning for everyone. The new department officially opens Thursday, Dec. 8.
