Gangstagrass, a multi-racial collective of country and hip-hop musicians, are coming to the Adler Theatre in Davenport at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7.
Gangstagrass will be presented by the Adler Theatre and through a partnership with Quad City Arts and its unique school outreach program.
According to an Adler news release, the string pickers and MCs (masters of ceremony) that make up Gangstagrass create a shared cultural space for dialogue and connection between folks that usually never intersect.
The boundaries are gone and Gangstagrass is out there doing things nobody thought would work, the release said. But when you hear it you know – down in your soul – that it does work, the release said. Gangstagrass provides an irresistible blend of America’s rural and urban music traditions.
Tickets for the Adler Theatre can be purchased beginning Friday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. in person at the box office. It’s located at 136 E. 3rd St., Davenport.
