Rock Island Library 'book sale

Find career and computer help at weekly drop-in Computer Skills & Job Search Assistance workshops on Tuesdays at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th St.

Thanks to a new partnership with Goodwill of the Heartland’s Helms Career Center, the downtown library’s first-floor computer center will offer help every Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. on a variety of topics. No appointments or computer skills are necessary.

The workshops at the Rock Island Downtown Library will provide help with career assessments, resumes, online job search tools and job applications; learning how to use Word, Excel or Powerpoint; Microsoft or Google productivity tools; and how to safely use email, the internet and social media.
