The 10th Annual #GetUgly5k, billed as the “#Funnest5K in the QCA,” is set for Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, bringing hundreds of runners, walkers, and crawlers to LeClaire for the beloved Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K and Kids Fun Run.
The event, which has a Grinch theme this year, is expected to be the biggest yet, with registration capped at 600 participants. Race organizers Anna Broders and Lori McFate noted the event sold out twice last year when the limit was 500.

The 5K and Kids Fun Run raise money for local cancer patients with limited financial resources, ensuring all funds stay local.
Race Day Schedule:
- Start and Finish Line at the LeClaire Civic Center, 127 S. Cody Road, LeClaire.
- 9:30 a.m. – Kids Fun Run.
- 9:55 a.m. – Ms. Clinton County sings the National Anthem.
- 10 a.m. – 5K Start.
Participants are encouraged to take part in the Ugly Sweater Contest. It offers prizes for the top three contestants. The post-race celebration will feature walking tacos from Happy Joes in LeClaire. Race bib pull-tabs also will be provided by local LeClaire businesses.
