Friendship Manor, Rock Island, is celebrating 45 years of excellence in service with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
Appetizers, cake and cocktails will be served, and a special anniversary ceremony will take place. RSVP to Director of Marketing Heather Stancliff at (309) 794-4123 or [email protected].
Friendship Manor’s current campus was founded by the Illinois Branch of the Kings Daughters and Sons in 1979. In a news release, Friendship Manor said it is the only continuing care retirement community in the Illinois Quad Cities, offering all levels of care for seniors from independent through skilled nursing.
Over the years, Friendship Manor has continually added services and expanded amenities. It is currently in the midst of an extensive update. The 2024 Re-Establishing Friendship project is the first phase of improvements expected to open in November.
The campus-wide project is anticipated to be finalized in the summer of 2025. Upgrades include: a state-of-the-art therapy center, fully remodeled independent living apartments, and extensive aesthetic updates.
Friendship Manor is eager to celebrate this milestone anniversary with the community. It hopes to see new and familiar faces for September’s Sapphire Celebration, the release said.
“We want to show off what the Manor has to offer now and what the coming years will bring,” Friendship Manor CEO Ted Pappas said.
