Friends of Bettendorf Parks host senior Fall Golf Cart Tour

  • The Friends of the Bettendorf Park Foundation hosts Golf Cart Tour

    The Friends of Bettendorf Parks & Recreation – partners of the Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department and endorsed by the City of Bettendorf – invite area seniors to participate in its annual Fall Senior Golf Cart Tour at 10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15.

    There is no rain date.

    Held twice a year in the spring and fall, the Fall Senior Golf Cart Tour travels along the Duck Creek Recreation Trail from Palmer Hills Golf Course, Bettendorf, to Riverdale and back to Palmer Hills. 

    Transportation will be via golf carts provided by the city-owned Palmer Hills. Carts may be operated by participants, who must be at least 18, or operators will be provided for those choosing not to drive themselves. Stops will be made at several sites along the way. The roundtrip tour will be about two hours and will depart at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. 

    Parking is available at Palmer Hills, 2999 Middle Road. There is no fee, and liquid refreshments will be provided.

    Registration is required, and tours are limited to 70 people each. Registration is now open with a deadline of Thursday, Sept. 11. To register, go to www.bettendorf.org/SGCTour
