Food truck fanatics are getting ready for another fight.

The annual Food Truck Fight will be returning to the Quad Cities for an eighth time on Saturday, July 19.

The event is set for noon to 8 p.m. at The Rust Belt in East Moline. This year’s event will feature 13 local and regional food trucks, serving a wide variety of cuisines and $5 feature items. Admission is $10 per adult, kids 12 and under get free admission.

In addition to lots of food, the foodie celebration will feature live music, fully stocked bars, free entertainment for the kids, official Food Truck Fight merchandise for purchase and more.

At 7 p.m., the 14th Food Truck Fight champion will be crowned. That champion will be decided by the food fans, who will have the chance to cast their votes during the celebration.

“We are ecstatic about how this year’s event is coming together. The ease of working alongside the Rust Belt production team gives us more bandwidth to create something truly special for our attendees,” said Jacquelyn O’Briant, co-producer of the Food Truck Fight, and co-owner of BRB Live, the Quad Cities based event production company that presents the event.

For the first time ever, the lineup will have no duplication of cuisines, providing a variety of new and different foods for attendees. The lineup features a returning champion – Hibachi Time, a Dubuque, Iowa-based truck that won as a first-time participant in 2024.

Over half the competitors will be new to the event. They are driving in from places such as Chicago, St. Charles and Galena, Illinois, as well as  Winthrop, Iowa, and several from the Quad Cities.

“We are most excited for the truck lineup. We’ve never had ‘cuisine exclusivity’ among the field of competitors before and it’s a great variety of food types,” added Ms. O’Briant. “East Moline is so supportive of our event, and we are overjoyed to return to the same venue as last year… it worked really well for our team, attendees and the trucks.”

Food Truck Fight will, once again, feature an “indoor/outdoor” hybrid style of event. The competing trucks will be located outside the building while most of the seating, entertainment and activities will be indoors in the main concert and event space. The Rust Belt also has plenty of free attendee parking.

Due to capacity at The Rust Belt, attendees can guarantee their admission to the event by purchasing their ticket in advance at FoodTruckFight.com for $15 – every pre-sale ticket comes with a free koozie and signature spork upon entry to the event. Each food truck will have a $5 feature item as well as a full menu for purchase. All activities and entertainment are at no additional cost to attendees.
