First Central to hosting Grilling for Charity event

First Central State Bank continues its tradition of Grilling for Charity fundraisers with an event on Friday, Sept. 27, at its Goose Lake, Iowa, location. CREDIT FIRST CENTRAL STATE BANK

GOOSE LAKE, Iowa –  First Central State Bank will host another Grilling for Charity fundraiser here from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at First Central State Bank’s location at 223 Main St.

The proceeds collected will benefit the Northeast Athletic Boosters. Per tradition, this will coincide with homecoming festivities at Northeast.

First Central State Bank began the Grilling for Charity fundraisers in 2010. Since its inception, the events have raised tens of thousands of dollars for local nonprofits. Last year, First Central State Bank raised more than $20,000 through the fundraisers.

The menu Friday includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, a drink and a dessert for a donation.
