A Christmas concert featuring Filipino professional pianists will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at the Butterworth Center.
The event, “Echoes from Home: Filipino Pianists in Concert,” will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the library at 1105-8th St.
The concert will feature a distinguished group of Filipino professional pianists from across America, including Christian Gonzales and Ricardo Abapo Jr., as well as a pianist traveling from the Philippines. Each artist holds or is pursuing advanced degrees in piano performance or pedagogy.
The program, presented as a cultural gift to the community, will celebrate shared cultural heritage through classical works, new arrangements premiering at the center, and a selection of Christmas songs from both American and Filipino traditions.
The hour-and-a-half concert is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Parking is available in the lots to the north and east of Butterworth Center, and on the east side of 8th Street.
