DEWITT, Iowa — Farmers and ranchers in five eastern Iowa counties have received a combined $5.7 million in cash-back dividends from Farm Credit Services of America, the cooperative announced Wednesday, Feb. 11.
The patronage payments mark the 22nd consecutive year that FCSAmerica has returned a share of its net earnings to its customer-owners. The 2026 payout is based on the cooperative’s 2025 financial performance.
Eligible customers in Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine and Scott counties received their payments in the last week of January.
“The 2025 cash-back dividends underscore our dedication to sustain a patronage program that customers can count on,” Dana Morgan, FCSAmerica board chairperson and an Iowa producer, said in the FCSAmerica news release. “Cash-back dividends differentiate us as an agricultural lender and demonstrate the value we offer to the farmers and ranchers we serve.”
The 2026 cash-back dividend is equal to 100 basis points, or a 1% return, on a customer’s 2025 eligible average daily loan balance with FCSAmerica.
The county-level distributions include:
- $1.3 million in Cedar County.
- $2 million in Clinton County.
- $847,000 in Jackson County.
- $602,000 in Muscatine County.
- $983,000 in Scott County.
The FCSAmerica Board of Directors also approved a cash-back dividend to be paid from the cooperative’s 2026 net earnings, the amount of which will be determined in December.
Since launching its patronage program in 2004, FCSAmerica has returned $1.62 billion to farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses in Iowa.
“As a cooperative, FCSAmerica is built to serve its customers through every season,” Mr. Morgan said. “Cash-back dividends are one way we deliver on that promise by sharing our success with the farm and ranch families who feed and fuel our communities.”
