UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf announced that it has reopened its main entrance for patient use as of 6 a.m. today, Jan. 22.
Trinity Gifts & Floral at Trinity Bettendorf will remain closed at this time, the hospital said in a news release.
The main entrance was temporarily closed a week ago due to water damage caused by a burst clean-water sprinkler pipe related to the extreme temperatures.
Hospital registration will continue to be temporarily displaced due to ongoing cleanup and repairs, the release said.
To assist patients with finding their way during the cleanup, additional volunteers and greeters are available at all entrances.
“Our teams have been doing a tremendous job of keeping our facilities open and safe for patients, visitors and team members,” Shawn Morrow, Quad Cities market president, said. “They have worked around the clock for nearly two weeks preparing for, managing and cleaning up from weather-related incidents.”
Matt Behrens, regional vice president of clinic operations, thanked staff and visitors for their patience and understanding. “On the bright side, our teams have really enjoyed the opportunity to connect directly with patients by spending a few extra minutes and steps with them as they arrived,” he said.
