Downtown Davenport kicks off summer with party June 7

The Common Chord and Northwest Bank & Trust are sponsoring a free Downtown Davenport Summer Kickoff Block Party from 5-10 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Common Chord and 2nd Street. 

The event will feature live music from 5-8 p.m. from Einstein’s Sister, The Crew, and QC Rock Academy as well as face painting and balloon animals. It’s part of the 50 days until the 50th Quad City Times Bix 7 road race in downtown.  

From 8-10 p.m. at the Skybridge Courtyard there will be a Silent Disco, presented in partnership with Quad City Arts. It will feature DJs Vamp, TRiPENDiCULAR, and Buddha. 

Visitors are urged to bring your own chairs. Full bar will be available. No outside drinks are permitted. Food options also will be available from the Lemonade Stand and The Garrison.
